ZF recently launched the e-comp Scroll oil-free scroll electric air compressor specially designed for new energy commercial vehicles. This innovative product realizes air compression through the circular motion of the dynamic and static scroll, minimizing vibration, and the noise is only about 67 decibels at the rated operating point, which is equivalent to the normal conversation sound in the office environment.
E-comp Scroll scroll electric air compressor is driven by integrated motor, which can provide a system pressure of 12.5bar with single-stage compression and support variable speed operation to meet different working conditions. Its oil-free design not only eliminates the oil leakage risk of traditional air compressors, but also eliminates the extra cost caused by the need to replace consumables regularly in traditional oil-free air compressors.
The total mass of this product is less than 35kg, which is significantly lighter than the traditional air compressor, and can better support the demand of electric heavy trucks to realize the lightweight of the whole vehicle. Equipped with integrated motor, inverter and liquid-cooled shell, the exhaust temperature can be ensured to be lower than 90°C, which creates conditions for the integration of electric air compressor and air handling unit.
With the rapid increase of market penetration rate of new energy commercial vehicles in China, users put forward higher and higher requirements for complete vehicles and parts. At the beginning of product design, ZF fully considered the multiple expectations of China end users for "reliability, economy and comfort", and at the same time met the higher pursuit of commercial vehicle manufacturers for vehicle layout flexibility and body lightweight.
